How to start the air cooled diesel engine.

1. Open the fuel cock

2. Put the engine speed lever in the “RUM” middle position

3. Hold the starting handle firmly.
   Pull the starting handle slowly ……Unit you feel resistance . Then return it slowly.

4. Push the decompression lever down and release.

5. Pull the rope hard and fast. Pull it all the way out. Use two hands if necessary. Hold the starting handle firmly.

6. Start!!!

Problems to be noted

For 3 donot pull the rope too fast or too hard.

Always pull the rope slowly

It is WRONG

For3, if you donot pull the rope all the way out, the engine won’t start.

It is CORRECT

Always pull the rope all the way out.
